Mainly A's
You don't yet own your house, your car or even possibly the clothes you have to work in. The weekend is for resting and drinking. but you still have to go back to work on Monday and do the whole thing again. Your favourite colour is purple... maybe.

Mainly B's
Get a grip snowflake. Stop living your life on Social Media and spend it in the real world.
But if you don't forward this message on to 100 people in 10 minutes then some puppies will die.
Your star sign is Pisces or something...

Mainly C's
You're enjoying life and you've probably got a rich daddy, sugar daddy or a final salary pension whilst they were still giving those out. You probably never do these quizzes and the rest of us secretly dislike you.

New York Times - what's in a photo?

There is a great review of the new Facebook timeline feature in eConsultancy yesterday, which mentions the New York Times as a good example.

However the one thing that stood out for me in this photo is the red staircase in the centre. Taken from this angle it has the sort of company performance chart that every Chief Exec doesn't want to see.

Perhaps it is just me, but is the NYT trying to tell us something?

There's a Paparazzi for that!

UK newspaper The Sun has a toungue-in-cheek poke at the iPhone adverts:

Google interview questions

  • How many golf balls can fit in a school bus?
  • You have to get from point A to point B. You don’t know if you can get there. What would you do?
  • How much should you charge to wash all the windows in Seattle?
What do these questions have in common? Well they are apparently part of the series of questions you get asked when you get interview for a job at Google.

There are various versions of these questions around the web, such as:

Topman sends unfashionable email

I've previously mentioned other retailers who send out daft emails (such as Alto's confusing one back in December), so to not mention TopMan's latest email gaff wouldn't be fair...

The 'TopMan Stylemail' they sent out today, claims to have "the latest trends at your fingertips". Its therefore strange that this trendy tips and product email encourages you to buy its very latest offerings, but is dated last month... 6th January 2009? Ooops!

As reported in the newspaper

Some newspaper funnies, as its Friday:

Commenting on a complaint from a Mr. Arthur Purdey about a large gas bill, a spokesman for North West Gas said, "We agree it was rather high for the time of year. It's possible Mr. Purdey has been charged for the gas used upduring the explosion that destroyed his house."
(The Daily Telegraph)

Police reveal that a woman arrested for shoplifting had a whole salami in her underwear. When asked why, she said it was because she was missing herItalian boyfriend.
(The Manchester Evening News)

Irish police are being handicapped in a search for a stolen van, because they cannot issue a description. It's a Special Branch vehicle and they don't want the public to know what it looks like.
(The Guardian)

A young girl who was blown out to sea on a set of inflatable teeth was rescued by a man on an inflatable lobster. A coast guard spokesman commented, "This sort of thing is all too common".
(The Times)

At the height of the gale, the harbourmaster radioed a coastguard and asked him to estimate the wind speed. He replied he was sorry, but he didn't have a gauge. However, if it was any help, the wind had just blown his Land Rover off the cliff.
(Aberdeen Evening Express)

Mrs. Irene Graham of Thorpe Avenue, Boscombe, delighted the audience with her reminiscence of the German prisoner of war who was sent each week to do her garden. He was repatriated at the end of 1945, she recalled. "He'd always seemed a nice friendly chap, but when the crocuses came up in the middle of our lawn in February 1946, they spelt out 'Heil Hitler.'"

What's in a name?

Ok, slightly off-topic posting today. But given that Mrs Sutherland is pregnant right now and we're still deliberating names.... I couldn't help but share this funny

Suffering Election Burnout?

If you've already had enough of the USA elections, you could be suffering from election burnout.

But share a though for those gamers currently playing the new Burnout Paradise xBox360 console game. This is currently one of the screen shots captured from a particularly slippery part of the xBox Live course:

Thanks to Dan Shust over at Resourch Interactive for the image.

Although this story has now been picked-up by several of the mainstream media such at the UK Telegraph, what nobody has so-far done is identify who these targetted adverts are aimed at.

However, I think I now have identified who this online gaming population segment are and may even have captured one of them mid-play:

Zombies

Given the shenanigans going on in the USA today, I thought this old Bob Hope clip was quite funny!

As Moya and I are in the USA right now, here's a bit of humour for a Friday:
